TandT: 014 Daily #11

Yeah got a little behind due the fact that I just needed a break from stuff. Been trying to concentrate more on my summer sketchbook. So today I decided to paint boxing gloves because this summer I have been inspired to get back into shape after watching shows like the Ultimate Fighter and other fighting shows. Watching these fighters train just makes me wanna go workout and fight!!! lol jk

TandT: 013 Daily #10

So tomorrow is my sister Karina's birthday party and she is 11 now. So I decided to make her a small gift, a birthday card to say the least. My sister Karina is one smart and strong little girl that doesn't let anything get in her way. She is very determined and goal oriented. Which makes her an awesome sister. She also like drawing and painting like me, so I thought it would be a cool gift to draw her as an animated character more or less. It is the first time I have done such a thing as drawing someone I know as a character. It was fun and challenging. *Crosses finger I hope she likes it!!!

TandT: 011 Daily #8

Today I was inspired by the video game "Journey." It is such a beautiful game, although I have never played the game, the visuals are amazing. I just love the colors they used. So today my daily was inspired more or less by the color choices from the game.

TandT: 010 Daily #7

So today I went figure painting for the first time with some awesome friends. Man was it challenging but nevertheless fun. What was difficult for me was trying to get the right color for the skin tone, although it might have been due the fact that I didn't try to establish the local color until later instead of the beginning. Although my results are not really what I wanted, I definitely learned a lot. Gonna definitely gonna go again sometime soon.

Time: 3 hrs (with breaks)

So today's idea or theme for my digital painting was ice cream because I had some ice cream today and well it was good lol Also everyday is always a good day for ice cream. Also, this is another color practice inspired by Dice Tsutsumi.

TandT: 009 Daily #6

Here is a color study. I wanted to practice lighting and bounce lights reflecting off different objects. Also, I feel like I need to paint a little more saturated. I am really inspired by color artist such as Dice Tsutsumi, Nathan Fowkes, and Goro Fujita. This was a practice to get better at color.

TandT: 008 Daily #5

This is fun! Although I am still struggling, this whole experimentation of a new medium is fun. Also need to be a more little confident with my paint strokes. I am in a way trying to tackle this as if I was actually painting with oil paints. I also like whole lock of the traditional look in Photoshop. Gotta keep going!

TandT: 007 Daily #4

Yeah I am off by a few days with my daily speed paintings but have been busy with so many things. Now though, I am going to try to catch up and keep it going! So today I bought this awesome magazine called "Digital Painting", its a ImagineFX magazine, and it has open my freaking mind about digital painting. I thing reading the little bit I have has lead me to learn so much. i think painting in Photoshop makes a little more sense now. So here is another attempt at a colored portrait. This time around I think things started to make more sense. I do have a lot to learn but I felt like it could be the start of an "ah ha" moment. Gotta keep it going!!!

TandT: 006 Daily #3

Sorry was a little late posting this up last night but I was so tired from last night to post my daily for 07/18/13. Nonetheless its been none and not behind yet lol So this is my first colored portrait on Photoshop. Man this was a challenge. It was a challenge trying to transfer some things I learned from painting traditionally on to the digital media. I was fun none the less and definitely learned a lot. Going to do more along the way!

TandT: 005 Daily #2

Another painting today. This was definitely a bigger challenge for me today. The color were not harmonies as I wanted them to be. Also found myself changing some of the composition in the middle of painting the piece, I guess I need to do even more thumbnails before I paint. All and all, I know as a beginner all my initial paintings are not gonna meet my expectations but that is not stopping me from trying to get better everyday. Baby steps yo!

TandT: 004 Daily #1

Woooo! Its been a while since I posted something lol. Man the summer has been filled with so many things. Currently I am working on a program sketchbook which by the end of the summer I have needed to completed at least 80 pages. Also, due to the fact that I am not gonna have a digital painting class until next year, I am going to start doing daily digital paintings. (Lets see how long this last lol) But I am determined to make something of this! Although currently my digital painting skills aren't that good, this going to be a great way to keep on motivating myself to get better!!!

So here we go digital painting #1! My inspiration for this painting was Edgar Payne. He is an amazing artist with such an incredible eye for color. Just looking at his stuff makes me motivated to paint like him. So with this one I started off with 30 quick thumbnails, then from there I derived the final piece. Let me know what you guys think.

Yo TandT out!
